Today, 15 years ago, Indian captain Rohit Sharma made his debut in international cricket. The 35-year-old made his debut for Team India on 23 June 2007 during the One Day International in Belfast against Ireland. After completing 15 years in international cricket, Rohit shared a special message on social media on this milestone. On the occasion, Rohit thanked him for every trip he has been a part of, adding that he will spend the rest of his life on this trip.
“Hello everyone, 15 years in my favorite jersey. Today I am completing 15 years of international cricket since I made my debut for India. I would love to, ”Rohit said in an official statement.

“I just want to thank all the people who have been part of this journey and special thanks to those who helped me become the player I am today,” he added.
“For all the cricket lovers, fans and critics, your love and support for the team is what keeps us away from the obstacles that we all inevitably face. Thank you, RS,” he concluded.
Rohit will take over later today when he leads India against Leicestershire in a four-day practice game.
This will be the only warm-up game for the Indian team before the fifth Test rescheduled against England at Edgbaston on July 1.
The fifth Test was postponed last year due to the spread of code in the Indian camp. India has a 2-1 lead in the series.
