Since Malia’s post, the tweet has received more than 13,000 ‘likes’ and 500 retweets.
Gail was signed by RCB as a substitute in 2011, but has not looked back since then as he became one of the best players to play in the IPL.
After working with RCB, he also represented Punjab Kings. However, he did not register for the mega auction before IPL 2022.
He also represented Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009 and 2010.
Gayle has scored 4965 runs in 142 matches in the IPL. It has an average of 39.72 in the league with an impressive strike rate of 148.96.
He also has six centuries to his name, including his unbeaten 175 against the incumbent Pune Warriors in 2013, the highest individual score by any player in T20.
