CWG 2022: Indian Wrestler Mohit Grewal Bags Bronze In Men’s Freestyle 125kg

Wrestler Mohit Grewal won bronze medal for India at CWG 2022.

Indian jewel Mohit Grewal defeated Aaron Johnson in the Coventry Arena wrestling meet B here on Friday to clinch the bronze medal in men’s freestyle 125kg at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022. Grewal defeated Johnson 5-0 in the bronze medal bout. Grewal clinched the medal in just three minutes and 30 seconds.

The Indian grappler proved to be too good for his Jamaican opponent as he maintained his possession and prevented his opponent from winning the bronze medal.

It was a one-sided affair where the Indian grappler showed off his wrestling skills to defeat Johnson by pinfall.

Earlier, star Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia won gold for India in the men’s 65kg final against Canada’s Lachlan McNeil.

Anshu Malik had to settle for a silver medal in the women’s 57kg freestyle wrestling event at the Commonwealth Games 2022 after losing to Nigeria’s Odunayo Folasad Adekuruye.

The Commonwealth Games 2022 began in Birmingham on July 28 and will continue until August 8.
