New England captain Ben Stokes Great relief came on the 3rd day of the first Test against New Zealand at Lord’s. Stokes batted for one in the 27th over of England’s second innings. It was a huge loss for Stokes as England had already lost four wickets at the time.
At tea, England scored 99 for four with Stokes and his deputy. Joe Root Batting at 15 and 23 respectively.
Mitchell scored his second Test century, while Blundell left after scoring 96, as the reigning world Test champions managed to score 285 in the second innings.
