Former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi Refers To Sushmita Sen As “Better Half”, Sends Twitter In A Tizzy

Lalit Modi, the first chairman of the Indian Premier League, caused a stir on social media on Thursday after announcing a “new beginning” with actress Sushmita Sen. Modi’s mention of a “better half” led to much speculation, but the former cricket administrator later clarified in a separate tweet: “Just to clarify. Not married – just dating each other. This too will happen one day.”

These tweets created a stir on social media.

Lalit Modi left India in 2010 amid investigations into tax evasion and money laundering. Since then he has been in London.

Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994. He made his Bollywood debut in 1996 with the film Dastak. She has acted in films like Bevy No. 1, Do Not Disturb, Main Hoon Naa, Main Pyaar Kyum Kya and Tamko Na Bholeinge and No Problem.

Sushmita Sen is a single mother to two daughters Alisa and Renee. Ms. Sen adopted Renee in 2000 while Alisa joined the family in 2010. Renee made her acting debut with a short film.
