India and South Africa shared the titles in the five-match T20I series when the last match in Bangalore on Sunday was canceled due to rain with only 3.3 overs possible. India and South Africa were tied 2-2 after four matches. After the bat, continuous rain delayed the game by 50 minutes. It started to rain when the game was about to start. The cut-off match started at 7:50 pm but was canceled after only 16 minutes of play in which India scored 28 runs for the loss of two wickets.

Kishan hit two sixes in Kehsu Maharaj’s opening over but was dismissed due to a slow delivery from Nagidi as he decided to take a quick shot and played the whole game.
Guyquad also failed to take a slow delivery and held on to mid-on before the skies reopened to stop the series decisive.
The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) later announced that it would refund 50% of the ticket price to spectators after the washout.
