PAK vs WI, Second ODI Live UpdatesMuhammad Nawaz took three quick wickets to take Pakistan to the driving seat while defending 276 runs in the second ODI against West Indies. Spinner dismissed the set number Brooks and also took the big wickets of Roman Powell and Nicholas Poorn, depriving the visitors of six wickets at a score of 117. Earlier, Shaheen Afridi removed Shy Hope in the first over after chasing Wendy’s but Kyle Meyers scored 33 off his 25 balls to put pressure on the bowlers again. However, he was dismissed by Mohammad Wasim and in the very next over, Brendon King fell to zero on the ball of Mohammad Wasim. Thanks to the half-centuries of Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq, Pakistan scored a total of 275/8 in the stipulated 50 overs. Babar Azam fell for 77 off 93 balls as he failed to match Kumar Sangakkara’s world record of four consecutive ODI centuries. Imam-ul-Haq scored 72 runs off one ball. This was the sixth consecutive 50-plus score of both the batsmen in ODIs. The two had a 120-run partnership, but after their fall, the batting was ruined as they lost four wickets in a row. Shadab Khan tried to consolidate them but they too piled up on the score of 22. Khushdal Shah also fell on the same score. For West Indies, Akil Hussain took three wickets while Alzari Joseph and Anderson Phillip took two wickets each. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. (Live scorecard)
