India will take on South Africa in the inaugural T20I in Delhi on Thursday.Instagram
The first T20 sale between India and South Africa is set to take place on Thursday, with 94 per cent of tickets already sold at the 35,000-capacity Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. For the first time since November 2019, an international game is being held in Delhi. “94% of the tickets have been sold. About 400-500 tickets are left,” DDCA Joint Secretary Rajan Manchanda told PTI.
About 27,000 tickets were put up for sale.
He said that in an effort to improve the fan experience, “senior citizens will have the option to use a golf cart to enter the stadium.”
Although the COVID-19 situation is under control, the DDCA has asked spectators to wear masks at all times except for food and drink.
Manchanda added, “Our staff is being tested regularly. We urge fans to follow the COVID protocol and wear masks at all times.”
