Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton pushes teammate Angela into the river after winning the bet.
Lewis Hamilton was a happy man on Sunday as he helped his Mercedes finish on the podium, finishing third in the Canadian Grand Prix. Notably, it was only the second podium finish of the year for the seven-time world champion and its first podium in Bahrain since the first round of the year. The win gave British racers and their Mercedes team something to cheer about, which has not been a good season for both.
A day after Hamilton’s exploits in Canada, Mercedes uploaded a video on its official Twitter handle showing Hamilton pushing team physio Angela Cullen into the river.
To clarify things on Netizens, Mercedes also attached a caption to the post which revealed that Angela had stipulated to jump into the river if Hamilton ended up on the podium at Canada’s GP.
When Hamilton took her to the podium, she made sure that Angela did not forget her condition, and when the physio took the time to make her jump, she pushed him one last time into the river.

“It’s great to be involved in the war,” Hamilton said after his victory in Canada.
“I was in touch with these guys for a second. He gave me and the team a lot of hope that there’s a lot going on in this car, there’s potential.
“You get a lot with the car when you cover the entire race. To get a lot from today. Really good credibility. Great job from the team. Just keep us down. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either. Looks like BT aint for me either. Looks like BT aint for me either.
