The Netherlands beat Chile in Pool A of the ongoing Women’s Hockey World Cup, but the match was part of the drama as the whole crowd erupted in joy after a goal by Chile in the game. It was Francesca Tala who came on the scoring sheet for Chile, and after the game, she proposed to her boyfriend. Speaking after the match against the Netherlands, Tala revealed that she had bet with her teammates before the match that she would marry her boyfriend if she came on the scoring sheet.
“I bet with all the girls that if I score against the Netherlands, I have to marry my boyfriend. Yes, he is very happy. He said yes,” he said after the match.
“I bet the girls that if I score against the Netherlands, I will have to marry my boyfriend.”

The Netherlands beat Chile 3-1 on Thursday and it was Tala who restored the equalizer for Chile before the Dutch scored two more goals.
